Job summary

OxyChem seeks a Principal Data & AI Platform Engineer to define and lead the enterprise data/analytics platform strategy. You will architect a modern Azure/SAP-based stack using Fabric, OneLake, and SAP BDC to deliver scalable, governed analytics and AI across the organization.

You will own the technology roadmap, standards, and CI/CD practices, while hands-on engineering ensures secure, cost-effective solutions aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years architecting and hands-on building scalable cloud data platforms.
• 5+ years with Azure and Fabric based data architectures.
• Strong data governance, security, and cost-conscious design.
• Proven BI and self-service reporting experience at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define technology vision, roadmap, and architectural standards for enterprise data platform.
• Lead build of Azure/SAP-based data platform leveraging Fabric and SAP BDC for analytics at scale.
• Own data models and curated datasets enabling governed self-service reporting.
• Establish data governance, quality, lineage, and compliance controls across the platform.
• Design and deploy Fabric data pipelines for batch, CDC, and incremental ingestion.
