Job summary

Avanade seeks a Data and AI Architect - Manager to lead the architecture and delivery of high‑value data and AI solutions for enterprise clients. You will align technical decisions with client strategy, guide modernization efforts, and oversee secure, scalable platforms across the Microsoft ecosystem.

You will drive workshops, establish governance, and mentor architects and engineers while partnering with senior leaders to ensure measurable business outcomes and lasting value.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Knowledge Engineering, Analytics, AI, or consulting roles, including 2+ years in client-facing leadership.
• 2+ years leading enterprise-scale Data & AI platform modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting or leading deals valued at $2M+ or equivalent opportunities.
• 5+ years designing/implementing enterprise data platforms using Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, or similar.
• 3+ years delivering large-scale data migration, integration, governance, or modernization programs.
• 2+ years leading client workshops, executive engagements, architecture reviews, and strategy discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data, analytics, and AI architecture aligned with client strategy and industry best practices.
• Translate complex business needs into clear platform architectures and modernization roadmaps.
• Architect and oversee secure, scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, Python, Foundry.
• Lead workshops, architecture reviews, and stakeholder forums to align direction and accelerate decisions.
• Create reusable assets and accelerators to improve quality, speed, and consistency across engagements.
• Set architecture governance, quality standards, and guardrails for data migration and AI programs.
• Partner with senior client leaders to connect data and AI investments to measurable business outcomes.
• Provide hands-on technical oversight from architecture through implementation.
