Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company's RTP site seeks a Data & AI Architect to design and govern data architectures enabling AI-ready analytics across manufacturing, quality, and supply chains. You will blend data governance with AI platform design, ensuring scalability, traceability, and GMP alignment in a regulated environment.

This senior role requires fluency in English, 8+ years in data/AI tech, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), LLMs, and AI governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years in data architecture or technology roles, with pharma manufacturing experience.
• English language proficiency (fluent).
• Experience with LLMs and AI governance, human-in-the-loop controls.
• Cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) and data integration patterns.
• Knowledge of CSV/GAMP5.

Responsibilities

• Maintain RTP site data architecture across manufacturing and quality domains.
• Define AI platform architecture and govern site-level AI capabilities.
• Design AI-enabled workflows for manufacturing and quality use cases.
• Establish data and AI governance, including KPIs and regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors; communicate decisions to leadership.
• Interface for audits and regulatory inspections.
