Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Data and AI Architect to join the Data & AI Technology group in the Digital Engineering Solutions domain. This role focuses on architectural guidance, data analytics, and AI/ML solutions for AEC clients.

Under the Data & AI Technology Leader, you will design scalable data and AI architectures, collaborate with stakeholders, and stay current with new tools and techniques to deliver robust, actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of the data management lifecycle including governance, architecture, integration, metadata, quality, and security.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and Databricks.
• Familiar with Azure Well-Architected Framework and applying it to Data & AI solutions.
• Ability to design highly complex data and AI architectures and to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design architectures for data and AI solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Engage with business units to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Create architectural solutions for complex data/AI problems in AEC contexts.
• Scale data and AI solutions across units and document designs for implementation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.
