Job summary

HCI Systems, Inc is seeking skilled DAS Designers to design and generate DAS/ERRCS drawings, perform RF modeling, and prepare submittals and closeout documents. You will coordinate with Project Managers, GCs, and owners to deliver compliant systems and ensure timely submittals.

Ideal candidates have AutoCAD expertise, familiarity with NFPA/NF standards, and experience with iBwave RF modeling. Strong writing and communication skills are essential for RFI responses and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with AutoCAD; Revit preferred.
• Familiarity with IFC, NFPA 1221/1225, AHJ DAS code requirements, FCC rules, and RF/building codes.
• Experience with RF modeling tools such as iBwave desired.
• Certifications like iBwave Level 1-3, GROL, NICET or related RF/telecom preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and related design software.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RF modeling, heat mapping, link budget creation, and predictive coverage analysis using industry tools.
• Coordinate designs with engineers, GCs, RF vendors, and building owners for compliant DAS systems.
• Prepare submittals, RFIs, test plans, and commissioning reports.
• Maintain engineering libraries and project documentation.
• Read blueprints and site surveys; interpret RF reports and installation manuals.
• Identify out-of-scope work and propose value-engineered DAS solutions.
