Job summary

Preferred JD or a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of litigated D&O experience. Strong negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills are required for a hybrid/remote role in a large national insurer.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years handling litigated D&O coverage or liability claims.
• Experience with management liability claims preferred.
• Knowledge of coverage issues and reserving a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analyze information learned.
• Evaluate coverage, liability and damages based on facts.
• Communicate positions to insureds and required parties.
• Set reserves and monitor for adjustments.
• Present cases to management for authority decisions.
• Develop resolution strategies through negotiations.
• Manage litigation and counsel, including budgeting and billing.
• Attend trials and mediations as needed.
• Support claim trends analysis and product development initiatives.
• Provide training and marketing support to Underwriters.
