Job summary

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in biologic sciences and completion of a cytotechnology internship.
• National certification (or eligible) in cytology by ASCP or equivalent.
• Advanced or Master's degree is desirable but not required; relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cytology lab operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing of specimens.
• Perform routine and complex cytologic evaluations and provide staff guidance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workload, and quality assurance activities.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and accreditation standards.
• Lead process improvements, priority setting, and inspection readiness.
• Support training, competency assessment, and ongoing professional development.
