Qualifikationen

• Applicants pending completion of education or certification may be referred but not hired until requirements are met.
• U.S. citizenship and English language proficiency are required.
• Must possess Cytotechnologist (CT) or SCT certification from ASCP.
• Education outside the U.S. must be evaluated for equivalency.

Aufgaben

• Performs smear preparation, slide fixation, cell block prep, monolayer filtration, and staining.
• Determines specimen adequacy during Endoscopic Ultrasound and Fine Needle Aspiration procedures.
• Troubleshoots discrepancies and takes corrective action in cytology processes.
• Monitors the laboratory quality management and quality control program.
• Researches, tests, validates, and implements new procedures and equipment.
• Writes and establishes new laboratory processes and procedures.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Telework: Not Available; This is not a virtual position.
