Responsibilities

• Performs highly complex testing on cellular material from all human body sites.
• Examines prepared cytological specimens and renders diagnoses.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal cytology including malignant neoplasm and precancerous lesions.
• Develops, implements, and monitors the lab's QC/QA program.
• Uses automated and manual equipment; enters final diagnoses into VISTA with SNOMED and CPT codes.
• Compiles data and reports research outcomes.
