Job summary

A prominent medical university in Syracuse seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and specialized Cytogenetic procedures and microscope analysis. Candidates must possess a NYS license or a limited permit and have at least 2 years of clinical lab experience. Those with a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences and less experience may also be considered. The position requires color distinction skills, with workdays from Monday to Friday, including rotating weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and 2 years clinical lab experience required. *Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or physics and less than 2 years clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Must be able to distinguish colors for the purposes of performing laboratory tests.

Preferred Qualifications

BS in Molecular Sciences (Cytogenetics or Molecular diagnostics). ASCP certification as a Clinical specialist in Cytogenetics.

Work Days

M-F 8:00-4:30 rotating weekends
