Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY seeks an experienced Senior Laboratory Technologist in Microbiology for day shift, 8:00am-4:00pm, Mon-Fri with rotating weekends/holidays at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center. You will supervise and coordinate lab personnel in performing quantitative and qualitative tests, train and guide technologists, and participate in problem solving and QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in Microbiology required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure required.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of laboratory personnel in performing tests.
• Train and guide laboratory technologists.
• Participate in problem-solving, QA and QC processes.
