Tusker is seeking a Cyber Security Principal to act as a senior, client-facing cybersecurity advisor (vCISO) for assigned clients, guiding mature programs and executive decisions from Chicago. You will own strategic direction, governance, and roadmaps, coordinating a cross-functional team to deliver measurable cyber outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in cybersecurity leadership, CISO/vCISO experience, and strong executive communication. Travel within the Chicago area is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with leadership.
• Experience as a CISO, vCISO, or senior security leader.
• Proven ability to translate cyber risk into business decisions.
• Strong executive communication and board-level reporting.

Responsabilités

• Lead executive advisory relationships and client engagements.
• Define multi-year cybersecurity roadmaps aligned to risk and business goals.
• Advise on compliance with NIST CSF, 800-53/171, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• Oversee incident response planning and third-party risk.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to translate roadmaps into actions.
