Job summary

Legato, LLC seeks a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer in Fort Meade, MD to lead endpoint security design and deployment. You will drive architecture for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Trellix HX, ensuring visibility and robust threat containment across hybrid environments.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, 20 years' experience in systems/cyber engineering, and a related technical degree. Legato offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 20 years of experience as a systems or cybersecurity engineer.
• Bachelor's degree required; five additional years of System Engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with MDE, MECM/SCCM or Intune and KQL.
• Experience deploying Trellix HX controllers/agents in restricted networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and deployment of MDE and Trellix HX across hybrid environments.
• Develop implementation plans and tune agent configurations to minimize mission friction.
• Ensure endpoint visibility, threat containment, and configuration management across assets.
• Provide advanced forensic support to SOC during high-priority incidents.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in the program.
