Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity System Engineer to enhance the DoW cybersecurity posture and govern cloud security initiatives within the Pentagon environment. This role demands deep expertise in complex technical protocols, risk management, and adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate policy boundaries.

You will serve as SME for Cross Domain Solutions, lead risk assessments for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, prepare briefs for senior DoW leaders, and

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in DoW staff positions, military service and/or Cybersecurity environments
• 4+ years crafting and development of DoW level policies pertaining to Cybersecurity
• 8 years related experience plus Master's degree in technical discipline OR 12 years related experience plus Bachelor's degree in technical discipline
• Familiarity with NIST CSF 2.0 and governance processes are advantageous
• Proven ability to develop briefs for senior leadership and participate in high-level reviews

Responsibilities

• Review DoW IT cybersecurity postures and identify risks within structured security frameworks
• Provide Subject Matter Expert for Cross Domain Solutions including Cloud Enterprise CDS
• Manage the DoW CDS scorecard and develop CDS processes and briefs for leadership
• Advise DoW CIO voting members and governance boards; prepare in-depth technical reviews
• Collaborate with cross-domain technical advisory boards on security architectures
• Lead cloud compliance reviews and risk assessments for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS initiatives
• Support DoW reviews and meetings with senior leaders
• Travel 0-20%, on-site at Pentagon
• TS SCI is required/US Citizenship is required
