Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to guide DoW cybersecurity posture for critical mission systems in Arlington, VA. You will review complex cybersecurity postures, support RMF, and develop executive briefs for senior DoW leadership.

You will serve as SME for Cross Domain Solutions, Cloud CDS, and participate in governance boards. Strong policy experience, CSF 2.0 familiarity, and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in DoW staff positions, military service and/or cybersecurity environments
• 4+ years crafting and developing DoW policies for cybersecurity
• 8 years related experience + Master's degree OR 12 years + Bachelor's degree in technical discipline
• familiarity with NIST CSF 2.0
• experience in major DoW headquarters
• able to handle classified information
• strong composure under pressure
• excellent attention to detail and communication with senior leadership
• proficient in MS Word, PPT and Excel
• MS SharePoint experience

Responsibilities

• Provide technical review of DoW IT cybersecurity and produce executive briefs for senior government leadership
• Support RMF implementation, system authorization/accreditation, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring and regulatory compliance
• Serve as SME for Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) including Cloud CDS within DoW
• Develop briefs and updates for DoW leadership and governance boards
• Advise DoW CIO and governance bodies on technical reviews of cybersecurity architectures
• Collaborate with Cross Domain Technical Advisory Boards and Information Domain Technical Advisory Boards
• Lead cloud compliance reviews and risk assessments for DoW cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Support DoW representatives for NDAA tasks and DoW policy memorandums
• Prepare weekly reports and briefs for senior DoW leadership
