THE OPPORTUNITY

This Senior Cybersecurity Engineer role can be remote within the U.S.

This engineer collaborates with teams managing the Abbott Diabetes Care ecosystem, providing expertise in application and infrastructure security. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and recommending secure technical solutions, ensuring security technologies are effectively implemented, and leading the development of cybersecurity tools to automate vulnerability management.

What You’ll Work On
  • Develop a risk-based cybersecurity program aligned with regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform threat identification and mitigation activities.
  • Advance threat and vulnerability management programs.
  • Assess threats and deploy countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with various teams and vendors to meet security requirements.
  • Manage security projects to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Communicate technical concepts to senior executives.
  • Use project management tools like JIRA.
  • Develop security policies and standards.
  • Manage budgets for security initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of cybersecurity or IT management experience, with a focus on product security and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of standards like ISO 27001/2, SOC 2, HITRUST, FedRAMP.
  • Experience with GRC tools.
  • CISSP or similar certification preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as ISO, SOX, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to executives.

The base salary range is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00, with possible variation based on location.
