Job summary

Avint is seeking a Cybersecurity SME with an Active Top Secret Clearance to serve as a senior advisor on cybersecurity, RMF, and program leadership. The role focuses on maintaining security posture, guiding RMF and A&A activities, and directing lower-level staff to meet strict DoD requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree, DoD 8570 IAM III certification, and 15 years of experience (5+ in DoD), with deep RMF/CSF expertise and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• DoD 8570 compliant IAM level III certification.
• 15 years of experience, with at least 5 in the DoD.
• Expert knowledge of RMF and CSF and related DoD/AF policies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall security posture of the systems under their area.
• Assist in developing and streamlining the cybersecurity program, policies and procedures.
• Support RMF implementation to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.
• Assist A&A efforts by guiding artifacts and processes per DoD/AF policies.
• Develop and enhance a common controls program for inheritability evidence.
• Maintain and report system assessment and authorization status per DoD guidance.
• Provide direction to lower-level cybersecurity staff and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate with security management to address broader security issues.
• Identify Information Owners and establish accountability and access controls.
