Job summary

JCS Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to support a fast-paced SOC environment. This role protects critical IT infrastructure through monitoring, threat detection, and incident analysis while maintaining a DoD clearance.

The team investigates security events and improves cyber defense capabilities in a leading IT and cybersecurity services organization. The position requires active TS/SCI clearance, a bachelor's in a related field, and 10+ years of cybersecurity operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response or CND.
• SOC experience in security monitoring, detection, triage and response.
• Experience across Protect, Detect, Respond, Sustain mission areas.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and ability to obtain CSSP Analyst cert within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, NetFlow, SIEM and sensors.
• Conduct Tier 1/2 security analysis across large log data sets.
• Investigate and triage events, escalate to senior SOC analysts.
• Identify IOCs, attack patterns, and adversary behaviors.
• Document investigations and prepare incident reports and findings.
• Support incident reports and executive summaries for leadership.
• Stay aware of emerging threats to improve SOC capabilities.
