Job summary

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is seeking a SOC Operations Analyst/Watch-Floor Operations to join our cyber team in a large SOC environment. You will monitor networks for security issues, investigate breaches, and work with the security team to uncover vulnerabilities, including penetration testing.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance with CI Poly, a BS/BA degree, and at least 5 years of experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, along with relevant GIAC certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires BS or BA degree.
• 5 years overall experience including Splunk Enterprise Security.
• Clearance: Top Secret with CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks for security issues and investigate breaches.
• Document security breaches and assess damage.
• Work with security team to test and uncover vulnerabilities, including penetration testing.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain high-security standards.
• Install security measures and encryption programs to protect systems.
• Conduct analysis to confirm intrusion information and create forensically sound copies of data.
• Provide technical summaries and input; perform data recovery and analysis.
• Support real-time cyber defense tasks for Incident Response Teams (IRTs).
