Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Ohio seeks a senior cybersecurity leader to provide strategic and technical direction across the generation cybersecurity program, coordinating high‑impact projects, setting priorities, and influencing policy and architectural decisions.

You will define and oversee architecture and lifecycle strategies, lead responses to high‑severity threats, set secure design standards for plant systems, and collaborate with senior plant management and enterprise IT leaders

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in cybersecurity or IC.
• Expert in ICs/OT environments, network security, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven record of leading major cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
• Expert understanding of computer networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Experience with industrial or air-gapped networks is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, JavaScript and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee implementation of cybersecurity architecture and lifecycle strategies.
• Lead response to high-severity threats and represent generation in enterprise incident response.
• Set standards for secure design and configuration for plant systems.
• Collaborate with senior plant management and enterprise IT leaders.
• Evaluate and recommend cybersecurity tools and vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in controls and processes.
