Job summary

The ideal candidate will lead incident response, conduct vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with IT, software development, and compliance teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer with designing and building security controls
• Experience logging and querying data in Splunk to identify security anomalies
• Experience with government regulatory frameworks and security standards (NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, encryption)
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities
• Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
• Collaborate with IT, software development, and compliance to enforce security policies
• Monitor logs and alerts to detect and respond to incidents
• Analyze anomalies and security breaches to mitigate risks
• Integrate security into all phases of the development lifecycle
• Maintain thorough documentation and prepare reports on findings and actions taken
