Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a U.S. Department of Energy contract. Positions will be based in the Washington, D.C. area.

The role emphasizes threat intelligence delivery, cloud security, RMF, and ATO processes across enterprise IT and OT environments. Active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance is required, with certifications preferred. Base salary reflects a broad US scope.

Qualifications

• 5–12+ years designing, implementing, or securing enterprise IT/OT environments.
• Experience with cloud security, Zero Trust, RMF, NIST 800-53, and system hardening.
• Experience supporting ATO packages and continuous monitoring.
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, Azure/AWS Security or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of Cyber Intelligence services to deliver timely threat intel.
• Support security by design and risk-based decision making for DOE contract environments.
• Collaborate on RMF/NIST-based authorization and continuous monitoring activities.
