Job summary

Amentum seeks a Junior Cyber Intelligence Analyst to support our U.S. DOE contract. Based in the Washington, D.C.

area, you’ll perform threat intelligence activities to protect energy sector partners. The role emphasizes SIEM analysis, incident response support, and risk assessment in collaboration with security teams. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in cybersecurity or threat analysis, familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, RMF, and Security+ or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, SOC operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or Elastic.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and RMF.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of cyber intelligence services to deliver timely, actionable threat intel on adversaries targeting U.S. energy sector partners.
