Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a cybersecurity engineer to support mission-critical IT services for USSTRATCOM from Offutt AFB, NE. You will protect NIPRNet/SIPRNet/JWICS/SAP/SAR environments, lead forensics, threat analysis, and secure architecture design across enterprise systems and cloud.

The role requires a strong security background, hands-on scripting in Java/C++/Python, and experience with DevSecOps, cloud security, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or security architecture experience.
• ITIL Foundations v4 certificate or ability to obtain within 9 months.
• Must have current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US Citizenship required.
• Location: Offutt AFB, NE.

Responsibilities

• Experience with cyber forensics, intrusion detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessment tools (Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, AWS and Azure security tools).
• Strong background in system security, network security, cryptography, secure architectures, firewalls, and DevSecOps environments.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python with secure coding and automation experience.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, identity management, and security compliance frameworks.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP-ISSEP and ASEP, GIAC, GCIH, CEH, or equivalent credentials.
• Demonstrated problem solving, communication, documentation, and attention to detail.
• Experience designing secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms.
