Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to support USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE. The role requires strong expertise in security architecture, incident response, and DevSecOps within cloud and on-prem environments.

You will work with tools like Splunk, Nessus, and Wireshark, contribute to secure coding in Java, C++, and Python, and collaborate on enterprise IT security across NIPRNet/SIPRNet/JWICS/SAP/SAR environments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or security architecture experience.
• Current ITIL Foundations v4 certificate or ability to obtain within 9 months.
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience with cyber forensics, intrusion detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessment tools (Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, AWS/Azure security tools).
• Strong background in system security, network security, cryptography, secure architectures, firewalls, and DevSecOps environments.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python with hands-on secure coding and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, identity management, and security compliance frameworks.
• Experience designing secure architectures for enterprise systems, applications, and cloud platforms.
