Job summary

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned company seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. The role requires an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and offers a compensation range of $125,000 - $195,000 (USD) annually.

We emphasize dedicated cybersecurity requirements development, policy standards, and risk mitigation for combat systems, with opportunities to lead working groups and coordinate with Navy programs.

Qualifications

• Five years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or ten years general security engineering experience.
• Must have IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01 or successor.
• Privileged users must complete OS/CE training within six months and provide proof.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, military system specs and DoD IA policies; clear written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research and analyses to support DoD cyber policy efforts.
• Lead groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis and risk mitigation.
• Use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
