Job summary

TekSynap is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer IV to support DoD and federal contract programs in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities include security engineering, Splunk ES customization, threat analysis, and threat-hunting using SIEM data.

The role requires extensive Splunk experience, DoD framework certifications, and the ability to operate within government environments. Candidates must meet DCWF and DoD requirements and hold Linux+ and related security certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience in creating custom dashboards and reports in Splunk using threat data.
• Experience in the integration and sustainment of Splunk Core and Splunk ES.
• Experience supporting government agencies or contracts within federal environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine project tasks applied to cybersecurity problems.
• Integrates electronic processes to resolve cybersecurity-related problems.
• Analyzes information security requirements and threats from logs and IDS.
• Develops ES rules, reports, dashboards, and data monitors to identify threats for CERT IH/IAM roles.
