Horizon Industries Limited, a dynamic IT and management consulting firm in the Washington, DC area, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer for a full‑time role in Columbus, OH (on‑site) or Richmond, VA to bolster DLA security operations.

You will analyze security requirements, develop SIEM solutions with Splunk ES, and implement threat monitoring and incident response processes. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of IT security experience and strong Linux/Splunk skills.

Qualifications

• Seven years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security and dashboards.
• Familiarity with CERT Incident Handlers and IAM roles.
• Strong Linux and Splunk administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security requirements and resolve cybersecurity problems.
• Create and maintain Splunk dashboards, rules, and data monitors.
• Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, and back up Splunk components.
• Provide analysis and recommendations aligned with CERT IH and IAM roles.
• Research threat information from logs, IDS, vendor sites, and more.
• Support security engineering for DLA SIEM and ELM architecture.
