Job summary

PEMCCO is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to protect mission-critical systems and lead cybersecurity initiatives across the life cycle. You will assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support compliance efforts while collaborating with stakeholders to integrate security requirements throughout development.

The role emphasizes mentoring, strong communication, and delivering documentation such as SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms to maintain secure environments for government operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• 10 years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
• Strong RMF, NIST, and DoD cybersecurity knowledge.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for information systems, networks, and applications.
• Lead cybersecurity engineering efforts supporting system development, modernization, and sustainment activities.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security control evaluations.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
• Support RMF and A&A activities and document artifacts.
• Review architectures to ensure cybersecurity compliance and integrate requirements.
• Prepare SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms and maintain ongoing monitoring.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity personnel and coordinate with stakeholders.
