Job summary

Chenega Security in Chantilly, VA seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to oversee cybersecurity strategy, compliance, and technical execution across proposals, system implementations, and operations. You will lead the integration of cybersecurity requirements into bid proposals, analyze RFQs/RFPs, and draft compliant solutions and documentation aligned with contractual and regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with RMF, ATO processes, STIGs, SCAP/NESSUS scans, and collaboration

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years of experience.
U.S. Citizens due to federal contract requirements.
CompTIA Sec+ and CCNA required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Expertise in Active Directory, Full Server Stacks, Switches, ATO/ATC processes, and Systems Administration.
Pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Lead cybersecurity aspects of bid proposal processes, ensuring security requirements are addressed.
Analyze RFQs, RFPs, PWS, and SOWs to draft comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
Compile deliverables related to cybersecurity compliance with contractual requirements.
Perform preventive maintenance on networks including SCAP and Nessus scans.
Collaborate with system manufacturers and SMEs on STIG implementation and exemptions.
Manage operations of the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL).
Mentor technicians on network configuration and hardware installation.
Coordinate with client IT and cybersecurity teams to share best practices.
