Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to own the health of one or two security domains, drive cross-team security initiatives, and raise the bar on production-grade controls across identity, network segmentation, cloud security baselines, monitoring, and encryption. You will design patterns, lead architecture discussions with senior peers, and mentor engineers while partnering with Cloud Ops, IT, and GRC teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering with hands-on responsibility for implementing controls across identity, network, cloud, endpoint, and/or monitoring.
• Strong fundamentals in IAM, network segmentation, encryption/key management, and centralized logging/monitoring.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP in a security-engineering capacity.
• Ability to produce architecture docs, runbooks, and decision records with audit-readiness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain security tradeoffs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health of one or two engineering domains; lead cross-team initiatives.
• Deploy and instrument security tools from purchased to production-ready state; partner with Cloud Ops and Identity teams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and set standards with senior engineers and managers.
• Lead end-to-end deployments of new control sets and document outcomes.
• Mentor Mid and Associate engineers; review designs and code to raise output quality.
• Partner with SOC and Detection Engineering on logging coverage and response tooling.
• Produce evidence for audits and maintain an up-to-date control evidence map.
