Job summary

Healthcare Organization is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to protect critical health systems and patient data across a large enterprise. This hands-on role involves building automation for detection, remediation, and reporting, spanning vulnerability management, cloud security, and secure development.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in cybersecurity, 5+ years hands-on engineering, and experience in regulated environments, with proficiency in Azure/AWS and major security tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 8+ years cybersecurity with 5+ years hands-on engineering.
• Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries preferred.
• Offensive security experience — pentesting and adversary emulation.
• Hands-on in Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Go, Bash, or C#.
• Familiar with HIPAA, HITECH, NIST, HITRUST, and CIS Controls.
• AI/GenAI security experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise vulnerability management across endpoints, servers, cloud, applications, databases, network infrastructure, and medical devices.
• Design and deploy EDR/XDR, SIEM, SOAR, CSPM, identity security, and data protection platforms.
• Build automation and APIs to improve detection, remediation, and reporting.
• Integrate security into the SDLC with threat modeling and DevSecOps practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop security runbooks and metrics.
