Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of overall software engineering, infrastructure, or technology experience
• Hands-on technical background with investigating vulnerabilities and implementing solutions
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting environments governed by FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, STIGs, RMF, ATOs, or related standards
• Experience working with development teams to improve security posture
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, executives, and government customers
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving issues through resolution
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications and enterprise software platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity initiatives across cloud and on-premises environments
• Identify, analyze, and remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities
• Partner with software engineers to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle
• Support compliance efforts related to federal security standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in security assessments, audits, and risk management activities
• Help improve security processes, release management controls, and operational procedures
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend preventative measures
• Serve as a technical resource during customer discussions and security reviews
• Contribute to incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring activities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams
