Job summary

Merci Technologies seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to advance security across software products, OT environments, and supporting infrastructure for grid-scale energy storage solutions. The role collaborates with product, software, networking and operations teams to embed security into development and deployment, aligning with business and operational needs across complex energy systems.

You will lead architecture discussions, conduct risk assessments and drive secure-by-design practices

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, preferably with exposure to product or OT/industrial environments.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity controls in network, cloud, or infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with OT/ICS environments or industrial networking concepts.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, threat modeling, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems and security tooling.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST, or CIS.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cybersecurity architecture and support implementation across product, OT, cloud, and network environments
• Implement security requirements in product development and deployment processes, ensuring secure-by-design practices
• Execute vulnerability management activities including scanning, analysis, and remediation tracking
• Support risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews for product features and deployments
• Assist in designing and implementing network segmentation, access control, and monitoring solutions for OT environments
• Apply cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST, NERC CIP) into engineering practices and configurations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into product and infrastructure workflows
• Support evaluation and deployment of security tools, automation, and monitoring solutions
• Contribute to documentation, hardening guides, and security baselines
