Job summary

Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, seeks an IT Cyber Security Architect, Plant Infrastructure to secure OT environments across utility-scale assets in the US and Canada. You will design and implement OT security, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to protect critical infrastructure.

The role requires deep OT cybersecurity expertise, NERC CIP proficiency, and strong communication skills to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of cybersecurity architecture experience with OT focus.
• Strong knowledge of NERC CIP requirements and practical application in energy/utilities.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions in complex OT environments, especially renewables.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• OT Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and execute holistic OT security strategies.
• Compliance Management: Maintain alignment with NERC CIP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Network Architecture: Design and enhance IT/OT network security architectures.
• Risk Assessment: Identify vulnerabilities and translate findings into actionable steps.
• Security Solutions Implementation: Lead deployment of IDS, firewalls, access controls, encryption.
• Collaboration: Align cybersecurity with business needs across IT, operations, and compliance.
• Incident Response Planning: Develop and maintain OT-focused incident response plans.
• Security Awareness: Train staff and partners on OT security best practices.
• Vendor Assessment: Evaluate third‑party security postures.
