Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. The position is 100% on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA, and requires US citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

You will develop cybersecurity requirements and policy standards for combat systems, conduct threat analysis, lead working groups, perform risk assessments, and document system engineering efforts.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification or higher; privileged access requires additional JPAS steps and OS training.
• Strong understanding of DoD IA policies and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis and coordination for multi-level programs.
• Lead working groups to develop strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform system engineering design, analysis, and documentation for cyber aspects.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document requirements, gap/threat analysis, and MBSE-based cybersecurity analyses.
