Job summary

MITRE seeks a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer for their Fort Meade/Annapolis Junction cyber operations program. You will lead engineers, decompose sponsor problems, and deliver technical work products that guide new concepts and capabilities.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, SCIF work onsite, and collaboration with government sponsors to advance cyber operations and mission engineering in a highly secure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, systems engineering, intelligence or related field preferred
• Knowledge of systems engineering, mission engineering, cyber operations, intelligence support to cyber operations, or capability development
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Hybrid onsite Fort Meade presence required with on-site work in a SCIF
• Active Top Secret/SCI with full-scope polygraph clearance desired

Responsibilities

• Lead Cybersecurity Engineers to enable sponsor decision-making, situational awareness, and mission engineering
• Translate sponsor problems into actionable deliverables and guide teams or projects
• Collaborate with MITRE leadership and government representatives to communicate vision and strategy for cyber operations
• Work with a team to implement strategy, TTPs, and prototype transitions
• Stay cognizant of technology innovation to improve operational outcomes
