Job summary

Nightwing Technologies, LLC is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to support design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities for a U.S. Government customer. You will support incident response, investigations, and remediation to ensure mission continuity.

You will lead security control implementations, design secure infrastructure, and manage containerized applications while maintaining compliance with federal timelines and accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of directly relevant experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with NIST 800-53 and RMF.
• Experience with AWS security.
• Experience with Splunk, Trellix and Nessus/Tenable.
• U.S. Citizenship required; DHS Suitability ability.
• Must be able to work across physical locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and maintenance of security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53 and organizational requirements.
• Design secure infrastructure across Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, and virtual environments.
• Manage applications within container platforms with patching, hardening and image lifecycle.
• Implement access controls, privileged access management, backups and monitoring.
• Monitor security posture, report findings and escalate risks.
