Job summary

Nightwing Technologies, LLC in Arlington, VA seeks a Cyber Incident Manager to support onsite incident response for a U.S. Government customer, investigating breaches, characterizing severity, and developing mitigation plans.

You will correlate incident data, apply defense-in-depth principles, triage CND incidents, research resolution steps, monitor threat data, and document incidents from detection to resolution, with potential shift work.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with DHS suitability eligibility.
• Minimum 5+ years in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-62 and FISMA reporting requirements.
• Ability to prioritize, investigate and describe incident tactics.
• Experience with CND concepts and threat monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends across reported incidents.
• Recommend defense-in-depth principles and layered defenses.
• Perform CND incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and impact.
• Research known resolution steps or workarounds for mitigation.
• Apply cyber security concepts to detect and defend intrusions across networks.
• Monitor external data sources to stay current on threat conditions.
• Identify incident causes and collect background information from external entities.
• Receive and analyze network alerts to determine possible causes.
• Track CND incidents from detection to resolution and coordinate with teams.
• Limited shift work may apply; triage and research IOCs and escalate as needed.
