Job summary

Nightwing Technologies, LLC is seeking a Cyber Network Defense Analyst to support onsite incident response for a U.S. Government customer. You will characterize and analyze network traffic, validate alerts, and document incidents that may impact critical environments.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility and experience with leading cyber defense tools. Responsibilities include monitoring, trend analysis, event correlation, and producing daily cyber defense reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct relevant experience in cyber defense analysis using leading edge technologies and industry standard cyber defense tools.
• Experience developing and deploying signatures for cyber defense.
• Experience detecting host and network-based intrusions via intrusion detection technologies (e.g., Snort).
• Experience performing packet-level analysis and trend analysis.

Responsibilities

• Characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to network resources.
• Coordinate with enterprise-wide cyber defense staff to validate network alerts.
• Document and escalate incidents with history, status and potential impact.
• Provide daily summary reports of network events relevant to cyber defense.
• Validate IDS alerts against network traffic using packet analysis tools.
