Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Level 3) to join the Digital Operations team in Colorado. You will integrate security across DevOps, manufacturing, and software while advancing CMMC Level 2 in a hybrid, cloud-plus-on‑prem environment.

Expect hands‑on, advisory responsibilities with cross‑functional partners, ensuring secure workflows and pragmatic risk mitigations in support of national security missions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of dedicated cybersecurity engineering experience in regulated or high-rigor environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements.
• Experience implementing security controls in hybrid IT/OT or cloud-plus-physical environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with non-cyber teams to securely manage CUI and tools without friction.
• Lead the expansion of CMMC Level 2 across cloud and on‑premise assets.
• Provide technical ownership and mentorship, guiding stakeholders toward compliant, secure solutions.
