Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Level 3) to join the Digital Operations team. You will be hands-on, collaborating with hardware, software, and manufacturing engineers to secure CUI while keeping innovation pace.

As the company scales to 500+ employees by 2026, you will lead implementation of CMMC Level 2, integrate on-premise and cloud security, and guide junior staff through federal requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of dedicated cybersecurity engineering in regulated environments.
• Experience implementing security controls in hybrid IT/OT or cloud-to-physical environments.
• Strong collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders to enable outcomes.
• Familiarity with federal requirements and risk-based security practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers and engineers to manage CUI and tools securely.
• Design controls to minimize latency while maintaining compliance.
• Lead expansion of CMMC L2 boundary across hybrid environments.
• Provide mentorship and translate federal requirements for non-cyber stakeholders.
• Maintain SSPs, RARs, and POA&Ms documentation.
