Job summary

The Office of the Attorney General in Texas seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise security platforms. You will conduct technical risk assessments, support exposure management, and provide audit-ready evidence aligned with state and federal requirements.

You will act as a subject matter expert for designated platforms, offer Tier 3 escalation, and collaborate with operations, cloud, network, and application teams while helping develop enterprise security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ten years of full-time information security experience.
• Experience across public cloud, firewalls, switching, identity provider, and at least one SIEM query language (SPL or KQL).
• Ability to map platforms to SP 800-53 and produce audit-ready artifacts; fluency in Zero Trust and CSF 2.0; familiarity with TX frameworks and TX-RAMP.
• Experience authoring reference architectures, standards, or enterprise design docs.
• Technical foundations: production AWS/Azure familiarity; Windows Server/AD and RHEL troubleshooting; Python/PowerShell and vendor APIs; Git.
