Job Description
AbbVie seeks a talented Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence team. This role will focus on designing, building, and automating components of our secrets discovery program. You will utilize your software development skills, cyber intelligence/response experience, and data analytics capabilities to identify, analyze, validate, and escalate exposed secrets both internally and externally.
You will have the opportunity to develop this service creatively, including building custom applications to manage the secrets discovery lifecycle. Additionally, you will collaborate on various cyber intelligence initiatives and partner with stakeholders across security and technology teams to support informed decision-making through accurate and timely intelligence.
This position can be remote anywhere in the U.S.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in:
Experience in building and deploying applications in a production environment is essential.
Educational requirements include a Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience, a Master's Degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 2 years.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to authentication and network/application security is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and experience communicating across organizational levels are required.

For applicants in locations with pay disclosure laws, the compensation range is provided as a guideline and may vary based on location and other factors. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, insurance, and 401(k). This role is eligible for short-term and long-term incentive programs.
