Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Domain Architect to own and shape the security design for Network Security, Endpoint Security, and Detection & Response across the enterprise.

You will establish reference architectures, drive Zero Trust strategies, and serve as the authority for security designs used by engineering, operations, and leadership. In this role you will mentor architects, perform architecture reviews, and partner with AI, security leadership, and CSO/CISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with architecture and engineering roles
• Deep expertise in network, endpoint security, and detection & response in large-scale environments
• Experience developing security reference architectures, standards, governance models, and roadmaps
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, and frameworks like NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001
• Experience evaluating EDR/XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and modern network security platforms
• Understanding of emerging AI security risks and extending detection to agented threats
• Excellent communication and partner management with senior leaders

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps for Network Security, Endpoint Security, and Detection & Response
• Serve as the enterprise security design authority and approve security designs for new initiatives
• Define technology strategies and platform selections across EDR/XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and related controls
• Drive Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, segmentation, secure access, and endpoint protection
• Ensure architectures support rapid investigation, containment, and cyber resiliency goals
• Partner with AI Enablement and security leadership to develop AI system detection capabilities
• Produce security risk assessments and remediation recommendations
• Mentor architects and engineers and brief executives
