Vantor is seeking a Senior Staff Software Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity & Compliance to serve as a senior technical authority within Core Mission Systems, translating security requirements into practical engineering solutions across software-intensive mission systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and government customers to sustain compliance with NIST and CMMC while maintaining mission effectiveness and system resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline relevant to systems engineering and cybersecurity.
• Experience applying systems engineering to complex software-intensive systems in regulated/classified environments.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, or comparable standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for cybersecurity and compliance across software-intensive mission systems.
• Partner with engineering teams and government customers to translate compliance requirements into engineering priorities.
• Lead the integration of cybersecurity requirements into system architecture, software development, cloud infrastructure, and operations.
• Assess risks, identify gaps, and guide remediation strategies with engineering teams.
• Support security assessments and continuous compliance while balancing mission performance.
• Mentor engineers to promote secure systems engineering practices.
