Vantor is seeking a Senior Staff Software Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity & Compliance to serve as the senior technical authority across Core Mission Systems. You will translate security requirements into practical technical solutions for complex software-intensive mission systems, including cloud infrastructure and development processes.

The role requires a US security clearance, deep knowledge of NIST, CMMC, RMF, and risk-based remediation, plus strong leadership to mentor engineers and align

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and experience applying systems engineering to complex software-intensive systems.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity compliance frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, RMF or similar.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud technologies, and secure development practices.
• Experience translating security requirements into system designs and implementation plans.
• Active U.S. Government security clearance suitable for the role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for cybersecurity and compliance across software-intensive mission systems.
• Translate compliance requirements into technical direction and priorities with engineering teams and government customers.
• Lead integration of cybersecurity requirements into system architecture, software development, and operational processes.
• Assess risk, identify gaps, and guide remediation strategies with engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers to promote secure systems engineering practices.
