Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a Cybersecurity Architect to define and advance a scalable security architecture across retail stores, distribution centers, data centers and third‑party integrations. You will lead security strategy, guide investments, and align with enterprise architecture to support compliant, cost‑effective operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on senior engineering
• 2+ years leading cross-functional projects with security focus
• 10+ years of advanced IT skills in information security
• 5+ years interfacing with leadership influencing security decisions
• Experience with security frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, etc.
• Retail, multi-site, or distributed enterprise environment experience
• Hands-on securing POS systems and store networks
• Embedding security into engineering/DevOps workflows
• Ability to balance security with cost/operational efficiency
• Experience planning and leading security projects

Responsibilities

• Define, design and implement enterprise security architecture standards across retail, cloud, and corporate environments
• Develop reference architectures for Zero Trust, store connectivity, and cloud security models
• Serve as senior security advisor and review secure solution designs with teams
• Lead Architecture Review Board governance for secure designs
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD and IaC frameworks
• Advance Zero Trust adoption across distributed environments
• Architect secure cloud environments with strong segmentation and posture management
• Collaborate to operationalize cloud security tools (CSPM, etc.)
• Define and optimize enterprise security tooling across endpoints, networks, and email
• Apply threat-informed defense aligned to MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Threat modeling and reducing attack surface for POS, e-commerce, and supply chain
• Ensure PCI DSS 4.0 and NIST CSF compliance
• Support audit readiness, risk assessments and remediation planning
• Design scalable architectures for divestitures and TSAs
• Enable secure system separation and third-party onboarding/offboarding
