Job summary

Alderson Loop is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to join a large enterprise energy organization’s Cybersecurity Architecture team. This on-site role focuses on risk assessment and security architecture rather than hands-on implementation.

You will evaluate solutions against security standards, identify risks, define controls, and document findings. Strong communication with business and technology teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity architecture experience.
• Strong network security knowledge.
• Strong understanding of cloud security with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience conducting architecture and risk assessments.
• Ability to explain security findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity architecture assessments for software, hardware, cloud solutions, and other technology implementations.
• Evaluate proposed solutions against enterprise cybersecurity standards and best practices.
• Identify cybersecurity risks, assign risk levels, and document findings through formal assessments.
• Define required security controls and provide recommendations to reduce identified risks.
• Partner with business and technology teams to explain and defend assessment findings.
• Help teams design secure solutions with architecture guidance; not a hands-on implementation role.
• Maintain knowledge of network and cloud security across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Support risk-acceptance processes with leadership approval.
• Communicate cybersecurity risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
