Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Lead Software Architect to guide the architecture of cybersecurity-focused software for Navy aviation programs. This onsite role at Patuxent River, MD requires an active clearance and leadership in DE-enabled engineering.

You will translate customer needs into durable software architectures, drive cloud migrations, and lead agile DE processes while mentoring teams and supporting proposals. Strong experience in SysML/UML, OO languages, and cloud tech is essential.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in developing software engineering architecture and implementation.
5+ years of experience in aviation or with the Navy.
Experience with SysML or UML, and object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, or C#.
Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban.
Knowledge of Cloud technologies, migration, and modernization.
Ability to lead and support proposal efforts in a competitive environment.
Bachelor’s degree in CS or Software Engineering.
Ability to obtain a Security+, CISSP, or ISSAP Certification within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

Architect durable software architectures with a focus on cybersecurity and DE integration.
Lead translation of solution architecture into tangible software releases and cloud migrations within an Agile DE process.
Guide and mentor a team to develop solutions for customers.
